At Florida Delta, our chapter is proud to bring Pi Beta Phi’s mission of Read > Lead > Achieve to life through hands-on service projects and meaningful community engagement. Our members regularly volunteer at local elementary schools, working one-on-one with students to build foundational reading skills and foster a lifelong love of books. Each year, we host philanthropy anf fundraising events to support Read > Lead > Achieve. In the spring, we host Angel Bowl, a 4v4 flag football tournament where members of the UF community compete in men's and women's brackets with Pi Phi coaches cheering them on. In the fall, we host our "Pi Phi Pizookie" night, where our members sell tickets and host guests from across the campus community to enjoy freshly baked cookies and ice cream at our chapter house. All of the proceeds from both of these events go directly to support efforts to bolster childhood literacy across the country.
Our commitment to literacy extends beyond the classroom and into the heart of our sisterhood. Through our philanthropic efforts, our chapter women develop leadership skills, compassion, and a deep sense of purpose. Whether organizing a campus-wide literacy awareness campaign or simply sharing a favorite childhood book with a student, each member plays a vital role in advancing Pi Beta Phi’s vision of a more literate and empowered society. These shared experiences not only strengthen our bond as sisters but also instill in us a lifelong dedication to service and education.
